2.  The video doesn't show the crowd with FIREARMS, they were certainly using a variety of blunt objects to cudgel their way through the door.
3.  the hallway was empty, but the rooms with doors leading into that hallway were not.  The one doorway leading into the hallway that Officer Byrd stood in front ot with his gun drawn, warning people to stay back away from supposedly held members of Congress, the people HE was tasked with protecting.
4.  If they had gotten on the scene a little bit earlier, maybe one of them would be had the honor or sending Ashli to Hell.
5.  I would agree with you.  I think the body count of January 6th insurrectionists ought to have been at least triple digits
1. The cops felt secure enough to not even brandish a weapon...before they left their post.
2. I saw one man use a helmet to hit the glass. That could be a weapon, I suppose.
3. No idea where those doors led or who was behind them. We can see from the footage that there was time to barricade those doors with chairs. Seems pretty reasonable there was also ample time to leave those offices and move to a more secure location.
4. How do we know they weren't already on the scene?....not shooting people.
5.
